About
Zoel Aeschbacher
Born in 1993 in Paris, he is of Swiss and Vietnamese origin. Marked by the short films of the collective Kourtrajmé, he began to experiment with a DV camera. In 2017, he finished a bachelor's degree in cinema at the ECAL (Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne). His graduation film, BONOBO (2017), was presented in international competition at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival and received the Audience Award. BONOBO won the Student Academy for best student film in 2019.
