Synopsis
Simone single-handedly runs a seedy motel, day and night, day after day. She is raising money for her 17-year-old daughter’s education. But when a stranger checks in, everything changes. He doesn’t fit in: he is well-dressed, he has money, and he wants a room for several days. But worst of all, this strangely familiar man seems a bit too interested in Simone’s daughter…

Marc Beaupré
Marc Beaupré studied at the National Theatre School of Canada and enjoyed immediate critical and popular success. For several years, he has been directing radical stage works, seeking the most current, short and obvious formal means to return to the heart of the classics that have moved him. His work has been acclaimed by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television and by the Association québécoise des critiques de théâtre. The Wasp is his first work as a filmmaker.
