Olga Poliektova
The twin sisters graduated from the St. Petersburg Art School and the University of Cinema and Television in Animation and Computer Graphics. They began working together as a director-animator duo. During these years, they have made several animated short films ("Tomato Story", "Inspiration", "Noise", "Quagga", "Warm Liguria", "Cinema Dehors"), which have participated in over 150 international festivals worldwide and won over 50 awards. They have participated as jury members at the Lucania International Film Festival (Pisticci, Italy), the Kinolikbez Film Festival (Russia), the Ale Kino International Film Festival for Young Audiences (Poland), and the Bibiana Film Festival (Slovakia). In 2015, they directed "My Grandfather Was a Cherry Tree". It won awards at Italy's largest children's film festival, the Giffon Film Festival, and the New York International Children's Film Festival. It was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film. In 2019, Olga and Tatiana joined CINE-LITTE Productions in Germany.
