Synopsis
Suburb of Algiers, 1994. Anya, 7 years old, lives her life as a little girl, largely unaware of the tensions of the civil war tearing the country apart. She has only one wish: for her father, a journalist on a mission, to return in time for the Mouloud celebration. But the harsh reality gradually seeps into her daily life, causing her childhood innocence to waver.

Imene Ayadi
Hailing from Algeria, Imene Ayadi was born to filmmaker parents. At the age of 17, she traveled to Nice, France, to study filmmaking at the Higher School of Audiovisual Production. Soon after her graduation, she worked as an assistant director on many short films, documentaries, and series. Then, in 2019, she directed her first short film THE OLD KALBELOUZ with Ahmed Benaïssa in the main role.
