About
Chloé Sirois
Chloé Sirois writes, directs, produces and is artistic director of various film and television projects. She is interested in childhood trauma, borderline personality development, female sexuality and the sensitivity of the human experience. In 2019, she presents Prends-moi, a documentary exploring the authenticity of the BDSM universe, at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma de Montréal (FNC). In 2020, she directs Morceau par morceau, a fictional short film recounting the decomposition of 10-year-old Cléo's childhood in a metaphorical tale where a carnivorous plant she amuses herself with feeding bugs ends up feeding on her skin. The film was selected for several festivals, including Fantasia and Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma (RVQC). At the age of 21, Chloé receives a grant from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) to direct her short film Pornomania (2023). With boldness and sensitivity, she depicts the trauma and fascination of a child's brutal discovery of pornography.
