About
Paul Vincent de Lestrade
After a degree in cinema and audiovisual studies at the Sorbonne, during which he worked as a film critic for various student media, Paul Vincent de Lestrade entered the directing department at INSAS in Brussels in 2015. His documentaries and fictions form a collection of portraits that mainly question the relationship of bodies to the norms imposed on them, and in particular the imperative of performance. He has directed "Visages" (2019, doc) and "Respire" (2020, graduation). In 2021, he published an essay Le Fils de Jean-Pierre et Luc Dardenne (Yellow Now). UN BON GARÇON won the Prix de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles and the Best Actor Award (to Igor Van Dessel) at the BSFF 2023, and the Audience Award at the Festival Le Court en dit long 2023. He has just shot a new short film "Cage" and is preparing his first feature film, "Helter Shelker".
