How To Get Your Parents To Divorce
Synopsis
Justine, 12, firmly believes that she will be happier once her parents are divorced. The catch ? They have no plans to do so. Tired of the arguing at home, Justine decides to use the language of her parents – both lawyers – to finally make herself heard. Surrounded by her group of friends, she creates the "Youth Court" to get what she wants. Obviously, this will not go as planned. How To Get Your Parents To Divorce follows the extraordinary adventure of a group of tweens as they learn to speak their truth.

Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers
Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers holds a BFA in Film Production at Concordia University and an MFA in Acting at the Drama Center London (UAL). During her studies, she had the chance to perform at the Shakespeare Globe in London and The Vakthangov theatre in Moscow. She also studied Feature writing at L’INIS. Sandrine has performed music since primary school (cello and signing) and sometimes she composes scores for her films.
Sandrine wrote and directed over 15 short films that were screened in different festivals around the world. Her short film Just me and you was awarded the Crystal Bear at the Berlinale, with the Grand Prix Canadian at Regard (Oscars qualifying prize), the Grand Prize at the Hamptons Film Festival. Sandrine co-writed and directed one feature film PAS DE CHICANE DANS MA CABANE. The film is currently screened in different film festivals around the globe, such as Zlin film festival, and many more. The feature already won a few prizes.
Aside from her personal projects, she had the chance to do an internship with Denis Villeneuve on Incendie and be Daniel Roby’s personal assistant on his film Louis Cyr. She also worked as a film mentor for the non-profit organization Wapikoni Mobile in different First Nation communities. Concordia University hired her to teach part-time « acting and directing for screens ». In between shootings, she offers her services as an intimacy coordinator.
Sandrine is now writing her next features, "Les éphémères" and "Noémie la nuit".
