Make or Break
Synopsis
Alex grows up in the GDR era with his single mother. When she publicly criticises the state, the youth welfare authorities decide to send him to a children's home. After several escape attempts, Alex is sent to the Closed Juvenile Detention Centre Torgau. Its only purpose is to break the will of the adolescents, using military drill and violence. Will Alex break?

Falk Schuster
Falk Schuster was born in 1980 and studied design at the Burg Giebischenstein School of Art and Design in Halle, Germany. Since 2009, he has been working freelance in animation, focusing on directing, animation and design. He founded his own animation studio Animated stories. His films have won numerous awards at festivals in Germany and around the world.
