Students from the Rouen and Le Havre conservatoires will have the opportunity to try their hand at casting in front of a pair of ARDA artistic casting directors. *by invitation only

The film lesson with Jean-Baptiste Durand is an opportunity to meet other people. Initially organised for students of the performing arts/cinema at Caen University, the meeting is nonetheless of interest to everyone. Understanding how a filmmaker has constructed his or her film is always enlightening.

A new meeting format for this morning! Creative youth come and talk to us about their experiences. Join us at the Cinémobile to discover several of director Jonathan Steuer’s projects, followed by a question-and-answer session!

In the presence of members of the REC (Short film exporters’ association), a presentation of the distributor’s job will be given and valuable advice will be given to the professionals present.

This activity will take the form of successive presentations by acquisition managers (TV channels and VOD platforms) and programmers, followed by a short question and answer session.

Brought up on the small island of Jersey, Steve had no idea that it might be possible to have a career in the Film Industry. Steve studied at art college before finding work in the Film industry by chance. After starting on the music video for “Take on me” by Ah Ha in the mid eighties, the first feature film he worked on was Julien Temple’s “Absolute Beginners” in 1985. Over 35 years later, Steve has worked in the Art Department on a wide range of films from student films to music videos, commercials, TV shows, and low budget British movies like “Layer Cake” (with Daniel Craig), to big budget Hollywood movies like “Wonder Woman”, “Mission Impossible”, and “Mary Poppins Returns”.
