Through the lens of a set photographer, Christophe Brachet will share his approach to a profession where discretion, observation, and sensitivity are essential. This masterclass, presented in partnership with Sony, will offer a behind-the-scenes look at his work, the role of still images in a film’s memory, and the tools that allow him to capture these unique moments.

The relationship between a filmmaker and their producer is one of the cornerstones of filmmaking. How does this collaboration take shape, from the initial idea to the film’s release? Drawing on their experiences, two producers will discuss the issues of trust, dialogue, artistic guidance, and decision-making that shape a project.
This discussion takes place as part of the support provided to the 2026 Talents en Court Normandie award winners and will be moderated by Fanny Chéreau from Normandie Images.

This networking event is an opportunity to celebrate the opening of the 20th edition of the Trouville International Short Film Market.

Four awardees from the Villa Pierron Endowment Fund will present their short film projects to four producers who are members of the FJPI (Federation of Young Independent Producers). This pitch session is designed as a space for meeting and exchange, fostering connections between emerging talent and young independent production companies.

Producing a short film means navigating very different realities from one country to another. Bringing together producers from France, Quebec, Togo, Norway, Rwanda and Lebanon, this roundtable will explore the diversity of production ecosystems, the challenges they face, the support mechanisms available and the opportunities for international collaboration. At a time when funding is becoming more limited and decision-making is increasingly concentrated, restricting the renewal of talent, how can new faces emerge? How can the audiovisual industry and public authorities better share this responsibility? What measures could encourage bolder casting decisions?
Organized by ARDA, this roundtable builds on the work initiated at the French Senate last February to develop concrete proposals in support of a film industry that reflects the richness and diversity of today’s acting talents.

Normandie Animation, the regional network of animation professionals, invites you to discover the work of filmmaker and animator Camille Tardieu, whose practice combines multiple animation techniques with live-action filmmaking. Through music videos, excerpts from short-form series, and dance-based experimental works, she will present a selection of her creations and offer insight into her creative and technical process.

Since 2020, Off-Courts Trouville and the Émergence Festival in Lomé have been fostering exchanges to promote filmmaking. This year, the Togolese delegation will be honored at a cocktail reception celebrating this cooperation and its expansion at the European level as part of the Togo Créatif project.

Sam sets out to make a documentary portrait of his aunt Danièle, a legendary figure within the family. Danièle is a lesbian. In the 1970s, she was a member of a revolutionary gay activist group. Through her story, Sam revisits an action she and her comrades carried out inside Évreux Cathedral in 1976. The film was supported by and developed through the Normandy Region, in partnership with the CNC, and in association with Normandie Images.
