Non-competitive programs
“Out of Competition” is the place where we dare to dig deeper, shake things up a bit, and follow a thread all the way to the end. A selection that dives deep into its themes, raises questions, and prefers uncomfortable conversations to ready-made answers.
Because there are always those films that hit us hard without asking permission, that shift our perspective, and that, when brought together, create a dialogue among unique voices that respond to and challenge one another.
Thematics programs
Thematic programs are offered to take you into various worlds where French and Quebec shorts intertwine.
Because one of our primary goals is to show short films, many more films in thematic programs, carte blanche, outdoor screenings and programs for young audiences. There is something for all tastes and for all ages!
Cartes blanches
Every year, we believe it’s important to invite partners, friends, and colleagues to create “Cartes Blanches” for us. For this 27th edition, we’ve entrusted this task to France Télévisions—a long-standing partner and major supporter of short films—as well as to the Emergence Festival in Togo, with which we organize year-round creative workshops, and the Beirut Shorts Festival in Lebanon. We’ve asked them to curate three “Cartes Blanches” programs that we can’t wait to share with you.
Youth programs for schools
At Off-Courts, young audiences have always been a top priority. As we do every year, we organize film education programs, starting with screenings for students of all ages.
