Thematics programs

Thematic programs are offered to take you into various worlds where French and Quebec shorts intertwine.

Because one of our primary goals is to show short films, many more films in thematic programs, carte blanche, outdoor screenings and programs for young audiences. There is something for all tastes and for all ages!

New this year, the documentary is in the spotlight and, even if it is presented in a thematic program, it is eligible for a new prize this year: the prize for best documentary!

Bien dans sa peau

Saturday September 7 – 10:30am

Everyone’s choices are multiple, the important thing being to find their place and the right path to taming life. In a period where others, especially to the extent that they are different, are not necessarily accepted, we wanted to show that differences are always a source of wealth.

Made in Trouville

Saturday, September 7 – 7pm
*Preceded by the opening evening and presentation of the jury

The launch of our festival would not be possible without our in-house program: the short films that Studio Off-Courts has helped, supported or produced, in France and abroad.

Chienne de vie

Sunday, September 8 – 10:30am

Life can be rough, so hang on, it’s beautiful and disturbing at the same time! A selection of films to remind us that life is not always a smooth ride.

Court mais trash

Three screenings: Saturday 7, Sunday 8 and Monday 9 at 11pm
*At the mini-cinema – Village OFF

The legendary Court mais trash evening programme is back.

Join us in the Village Off’s mini-cinema room, at the music school, to discover the slightly trashy programme we have in store for you.

*No tickets for this programme, first come, first served.

Politik

Wednesday 11 September – 4:30pm

This programme needs no introduction if you’re a regular at the festival… a classic since 2002. Hot topics in the news, subjects for debate, subjects for denunciation, this programme opens up discussion and reflection towards social commitment. Our hope is that these films will keep people’s brains working, and that everyone will be able to take part in the debate.

Normandie, cinéma en région

Thursday, September 12 – 1pm

Films from Normandy and/or made by Normans and/or shot in Normandy and/or supported by aid funds set up by Normandy’s regional institutions.

25th Off-Courts Trouville from September 7 to 13 2024
