Synopsis
With old disco records in the boot of her Twingo, still reeling from her grandmother’s death, Charlie sets off. She doesn’t yet know that these records will bring her mother’s dance moves back to life in the tearful eyes of Titou, a dreamy wine merchant, nor that a deserted Mediterranean beach will be the setting for her encounter with Marina, who dreams of her ideal of freedom in the village pizzeria. For now, she’s just driving.

Avril Besson
Avril Besson graduated from the editing department at La Fémis in 2013. She directed her graduation film, "Adela", which was screened at several festivals in France and abroad. She has since edited numerous projects (feature films, short films, series and documentaries). Her most recent short film, "Queen Size", was selected for over 35 international festivals and was nominated for the César Award for Best Short Film. Les matins merveilleux is her first feature film.
