About
Anaë Bilodeau
Anaë Bilodeau and Louis-Pierre Cossette have been writing, developing, drawing and animating together since 2008. Their animations feature in numerous projects and collaborations, such as the web series L’usine et ma vilaine mémoire de 9 ans (winner of the 2018 Numix Award for Best Web-Based Documentary Production) and 50/50: le documentaire (2018), which was broadcast on Radio-Canada’s Grands reportages. They produced and directed the animated short films Nuit blanche (2014), La dernière minute (2015) and À l’aube (2019), which have been screened at numerous festivals and events, where they have won several awards and honourable mentions. In 2020, the NFB invited them, alongside six other artists, to take part in the Parenthèse project, a series of short animated documentary stories giving a voice to Canadians affected directly or indirectly by Covid-19. This experience proved beneficial for them as, at the same time, they were in the development stage of the short film La tête en champ de bataille, an animated documentary scheduled for release in 2025.
