Warsha
Synopsis
Warsha tells the story of Mohammad, a Syrian migrant who works on a construction site in Beirut. That day, something compels him to volunteer to operate the most dangerous crane in Lebanon. Out of sight, he can give free rein to his secret passion and find a space of freedom.

Dania Bdeir
Dania Bdeir, a Canadian of Lebanese descent, is an award-winning writer and director. She is a member of the Brooklyn Filmmakers Collective and holds an MFA in Film Directing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. In 2019, she was selected for Berlinale Talent, where she participated in the short film program with her film Warsha. She currently lives in Dubai, where she is developing her first feature film, Pigeon Wars.
