Hugo Becker

Hugo Becker is a French actor and director who trained at the Lille Conservatory, the Cours Florent, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He made his debut in 2010 with a variety of roles: a politician in *L'Assaut*, a hitchhiker in *La Proie*, a student in *Ma première fois*, and a businessman in *La Croisière*. He then played Louis Grimaldi in *Gossip Girl* and appeared in Whit Stillman’s *Damsels in Distress*. In 2012, he portrayed Antoine Lavoisier in *Mystery of Matter* and starred in the series *Jo* alongside Jean Reno. As the narrator of the audiobook *The Martian Chronicles* by Ray Bradbury, he played Isaac Dreyfuss in a 2013 BBC3 series. In 2014, he played Romain in *Chefs*, winning the Adami Award for Best Male Newcomer. In 2015, he played André Merlaux in *Au service de la France* for Arte. In 2016, he appeared in *Baron Noir* and *Bajo Sospecha*. On the big screen, he starred in *Un jour mon prince*. In 2018, he starred in *Paradise Beach* and *Jusqu’ici tout va bien*. In 2019, he appeared in *Osmosis* and *Döner*. In 2020, he starred in *Leonardo* for Amazon Prime Video and appeared in *Dix pour Cent*. In 2021, he played Paul Gallo in *Je te promets* and took on his first leading role in a feature film in *Le Dernier Voyage*. In 2023, he portrayed François Athanase Charette in *Vaincre ou mourir* and starred in Christian Duguay’s *Tempête*. In 2024, he played the journalist Rambert in *La Peste*, adapted from Camus’s novel for France 2. Since 2014, he has been a producer at Nouvelle Donne Productions and has been involved in the audio series “Jacques à dit.”
