Synopsis
Washed up on a beach, Charlotte is taken in by a community living in ruins by the sea. As she learns their rituals and the language of their bodies, a strange sense of familiarity draws her closer to Leo, as if something buried deep within her were trying to resurface.

Vincent René-Lortie
Vincent René-Lortie is a Quebec film director and screenwriter. With a particular focus on dreamlike and surrealist narratives, his work reflects a desire to tell stories that are both necessary and personal, with the aim of prompting his audience to reflect on themes such as mental health and childhood. He is a graduate of the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema in Montreal and was part of the 20th edition of the Young Guns, an awards ceremony organized by the One Club for Creativity to celebrate creatives aged 30 and under from around the world. Invincible (2022), his first narrative short film, received a nomination at the 96th Academy Awards in the Best Live Action Short Film category and won the International Jury Special Prize at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival. More recently, Vincent has been focusing on the distribution of his latest experimental work, A Dying Tree (2025), as well as on the development of his first feature film, Ce Qui Nous Sépare.
