Critic's Jury

In collaboration with the Syndicat français de la critique de cinéma, a jury composed of 3 critics is renewed this year. The deliberation will take place in front of an audience on Friday, September 8, at 5:30 pm, in the cinema as an introduction to the closing night. You are all invited to discover, in real time, the winner of the French Film Critics’ Award of this 23rd edition.

Florent Boutet

Film critic, writer, scheduler

Florent Boutet is a member of the editorial board of Fiches du cinéma, as well as that of Bleu du miroir, where he is a critic and editor. Programmer in the feature-length section of the Korean Film Festival in Paris from 2018 to 2022, he cultivates a strong taste for Far Eastern cinema. A member of the Syndicat français de la critique de cinéma, he is actively involved in the 2022 jury for first films. As part of this cinema accompaniment program, he is involved in the discovery of contemporary auteur cinema.

Catherine Habib

Film critic, distributor and broadcast manager

After a double degree in communication and literature, her professional activities led her to the small world of distribution, then to the Syndicat Français de la Critique de Cinéma, where she was in charge of partnerships for the Semaine de la Critique. She then went on to distribute the Vodmania platform, dedicated first to short films and then feature films, with the arrival of Communication Only, which she created in 2014.

Nicolas Thys

Film critic, journalist and teacher

Nicolas Thys is a journalist and film studies lecturer (Universités Paris 3, EMCA, Lycée Sainte Geneviève). After 8 years working for the Ecranlarge website, he now contributes to the Quebec magazine 24 images and the Digitaciné.fr website. He also freelances for magazines such as Animascope, and has written occasionally for journals such as 1895, revue d’Histoire du cinéma, Positif, Blink Blank, l’Avant-scène cinéma

Practical information :

All festival activities are free and open to all.
Cinema screenings are available free of charge with tickets, which can be collected on the day of the screening from the festival reception.
